One Deserves - Part I (com versao em Portugues)

These two poems are about the examples of our loved ones who have gone before us and the importance of family unity. It’s also about the eternal blessings of temple sealing ordinances. It was written in two parts, the first for my grandfather who passed away in November of 1996 for his funeral, then part two for his wife, my grandmother at her passing about ten years later in January 2007. (My mother’s parents)

One Deserves

One lives, one learns
One gives, and one earns
A place with God
The greatest of all
With Him who saved us
From the fall

One grows, one cares
One knows, and one bears
The pain and the sorrow
Of friends so dear
Gone to a place
Not far from here

One prays, one serves
One obeys, and one deserves
The love of his children
And the love of God
His family in unity
Holding to the rod

One lives, one learns
One gives, and one earns
The serenity and peace
In the mansions above
A place to wait
To return him our love

Versao em Portugues

Ele Merece

Ele vive, ele aprende
Ele dá, e ele recebe
Um lugar com Deus
O maior do que tudo
Com Ele que nos salvou
O Cristo que é justo

Ele cresce, ele importa
Ele sabe, e ele suporta
A dor e a tristeza
De amigos tão queridos
Ido a um lugar
Que logo será conhecido

Ele ora, ele serve
Ele obedece, e ele merece
O amor dos seus filhos
E o amor de Deus
Sua família unida
Dizendo adeus

Ele vive, ele aprende
Ele dá, e ele recebe
A plenitude da paz
Nas mansões no céu
Um lugar para esperar
Nosso amor que e seu

Vovô "Nós retornamos nosso amor"
